よくある質問

Is The Escapists 3 on PS4 or Xbox One?
No. The game is confirmed only for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. No last-generation console versions have been announced.
Is there a mobile version of The Escapists 3?
No mobile version has been announced. Search suggestions for an Escapists mobile game point to the previous titles' mobile releases, not this game — there is no Android or iOS version of The Escapists 3.
Is The Escapists 3 on Nintendo Switch 2 or the original Switch?
On Switch 2 only. The original Nintendo Switch is not among the confirmed platforms.
Can I wishlist The Escapists 3 on Steam?
Yes. The Steam page is live at App ID 3602260 with wishlisting open. There is no purchase option or price yet.
How much will The Escapists 3 cost?
Pricing has not been announced. No store page lists a price, no editions have been revealed, and no preorder program exists yet.

Which Platforms Is The Escapists 3 Coming To?

The platform list is short and current-gen only: PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Announced October 8, 2026 alongside the game itself, the lineup skips the entire previous console generation — no PS4, no Xbox One, no original Switch — which says something about the technical floor of the new 3D engine. And despite what search autocomplete might suggest, there is no mobile version.

This page tracks every confirmed platform, the state of each store page, the rating, and the editions question. It updates as storefronts go live — the timing of each store page matters for anyone deciding where to buy, and the release date tracker covers the 2027 launch window itself.

The Platform Table

Platform Store status Notes
PC (Steam) Live — wishlist open App ID 3602260; developer/publisher Team17
Xbox Series X|S Live Store ID 9nkkw5b5pkv7; Xbox Play Anywhere; crossplay label; ESRB Teen
PS5 Confirmed, store listing not yet found Named in the official announcement
Nintendo Switch 2 Confirmed, store page not yet live Named in the official announcement

PC on Steam: Wishlist Now, Buy Later

The Steam page is the most complete storefront today: it lists Team17 as both developer and publisher, carries the “120+ items and weapons” line, describes the multiplayer suite, and accepts wishlists. It does not accept money — no price, no preorder, no purchase button — and has no user reviews yet, which is the normal state for a page that went live at announcement. Wishlisting is genuinely useful if you want it: it is the signal publishers watch when planning launch communication.

Xbox: Play Anywhere and Crossplay

The Xbox store page is the information-richest of the four. It confirms three things beyond the platform itself:

  1. ESRB Teen (Violence) — the only rating published so far.
  2. Xbox Play Anywhere — buy once, play on both Xbox console and Windows PC with the same license.
  3. Crossplay — an explicit label, the strongest official signal that online co-op spans platforms (scope beyond the label not yet detailed; see the multiplayer guide).

Ratings and Languages

The only rating published so far is the ESRB Teen (Violence) listing on the Xbox store page — consistent with a comedy prison-break game about shoving guards and stealing cutlery, and with the slapstick tone of the announcement trailer. Ratings beyond ESRB Teen have not been detailed yet. No rating anywhere suggests the tone has shifted toward anything harsher than the series norm.

Languages are a genuine open question, and the two live store pages currently disagree: the Xbox page lists eight languages, while the Steam page’s language section listed only English at announcement. That kind of gap is common this early — Steam language tables usually fill in during the months before launch — but until it does, full localization breadth is unconfirmed, and community requests for additional languages (including Chinese) remain requests, not announcements. We will keep this section current as the lists converge.

PS5 and Switch 2: Confirmed, Pages Pending

PlayStation 5 and Switch 2 were both named in the official announcement, but as of announcement day neither had a live store listing to inspect — no PS Store entry could be found, and pricing questions are therefore unanswerable everywhere, not just on those platforms. When those pages appear, expect them to close out most remaining platform questions (rating, language list, Play Anywhere equivalents). This table will be updated the day they land.

What Is Not Getting a Version

Being explicit about absences, because search engines are already steering people wrong:

  • PS4 and Xbox One — not announced, and the current-gen-only platform list strongly implies they are not coming.
  • Original Nintendo Switch — Switch 2 is the confirmed Nintendo platform; the 2017 hardware is not.
  • Mobile (Android/iOS) — no version announced. Autocomplete suggestions for an Escapists mobile download reflect the previous games’ mobile releases, not this one. Nothing official suggests a mobile port.
  • Cloud streaming exclusives or subscription day-one deals — no announcement either way; pure unknown.

Editions, Pricing and Preorders

Nothing is announced. No standard/deluxe split, no collector’s edition, no preorder bonuses, no price on any storefront, and no subscriber-program placement. This page will document whatever editions Team17 reveals, dated, without inventing any in the meantime. If you see a price quoted anywhere today, it is a placeholder from a database, the same class of fabrication as the fake December 30 release date.

Which Version Should You Plan For?

With no editions or prices to compare, the honest answer is: pick your platform by how you play. Couch co-op households are covered — split-screen is confirmed, though per-platform fine print has not been announced; crossplay plus Play Anywhere makes the Xbox/PC pairing the most flexible today; Steam is where the community discussion hub already lives; Switch 2 is confirmed but has the thinnest public detail so far. The gameplay itself is identical in scope — five prisons, 120+ items, the full 3D overhaul documented in the gameplay analysis — and the escape itself is what matters.
